How does this whole senior picture process work?
In order to provide you with exceptional service and images that reflect the true you, we provide guidance every step along the way. There are 3 sessions that go into creating your art.
1. Planning Session (no cost or obligation for the Planning Session) – We meet at the studio to discuss what you want. You’re able to view our work for inspiration and we develop a simple plan to accomplish what you want in your pictures. We’ll discuss personal interests, clothing choices, locations and more. You also reserve a time and date for the Creative Session by paying the session fee.
2. Portrait Session (aka photo shoot) – This is where the real fun happens! We use the plan we developed together as a guide to create your portraits, always leaving room for creativity and spontaneity to influence the shoot.
3. Ordering Session – This is where you fall in love with your images! Approximately 1-2 weeks after the Creative Session, we meet at the studio for your Ordering Session. The ordering session is when you purchase your art. We display your images on our projection screen and help you through the ordering process; we assist you in making choices for wall portraits, albums, collages, print collections, and gift prints for your entire family to enjoy.
Do I bring my mom or dad to my session?
Of course! We require that you bring at least one parent. A parent is a valuable assistant for you during the photo shoot; they can help with clothes, props, hair, etc.. No parent = no photos.
Can I bring a friend to my shoot?
Yes, in fact we have “Friend Sessions” if your friend wants pictures too! You can still bring them along even if they don’t want senior pictures. Friends often bring out the best smiles!
How many outfit changes can I have?
It’s your time, you decide. We recommend wearing versatile pants/skirts that can go with 2-3 tops and possibly a jacket. Generally speaking, we recommend 3 outfits for a 1 hour session, 4-5 for a 2 hour session.
Does time for outfit changes count toward my session time?
Yes, time for clothing changes counts as part of your session time. With a little planning and having your outfits ready to go, you’ll make the most of your session time.
Does travel time for multiple locations count toward my session time?
Yes. Most of the time we can find suitable locations that are relatively close to each other; this keeps travel time to a minimum and have plenty of time for pictures. We’ve never had anyone tell us that they didn’t have enough images to choose from.
How many images will I have to choose from?
Quality imagery is always our foremost goal. Therefore, we don’t guarantee a specific amount, but you can expect about about 35-60 images to choose from depending on the length of your session. Having more images often leads to indecision and feeling overwhelmed. Either way, we guarantee you’ll love your images and we’ll help you with the ordering process to ensure you get exactly what you want.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most orders are delivered in less than 3 weeks from the day the order was placed. Custom frames, collages, albums and other designed products can take more time.
